Hi, I’m Kelsey — the face behind Plush Paws Grooming Spa, based in Stanmore Bay, Whangaparaoa.

I’ve been grooming dogs for over 7 years and over that time I’ve truly fallen in love with what I do. For me, grooming isn’t just about how a dog looks at the end — it’s about how they feel throughout the entire experience. Creating a calm, gentle and positive environment is just as important as the groom itself.

Plush Paws is a quiet, home-based, purpose-built grooming studio designed to feel safe, peaceful and low-stress. With no busy salon noise, no cages and no overlapping appointments, your dog receives my full attention in a relaxed, one-on-one setting. It’s a space where nervous or anxious dogs can feel at ease and where every pup is treated with patience, kindness, and genuine care.

Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and that love is at the heart of everything I do. At home, I have a miniature poodle named Casey, who keeps me on my toes — she’s completely ball-obsessed and full of personality, and just a little bit crazy! She reminds me every day how important it is to take things slow, be gentle and make every experience a positive one.

I take the time to get to know each dog and tailor every groom to suit their individual needs, ensuring they feel comfortable, safe and cared for from start to finish.
